Because when does Vuescan work, and I've done a few scans, I shut it down and then get a strange error message from my V500 software saying that it wasn't able to open. Turns out it was the firewall blocking Vuescan from phoning home, which apparently needs to happen the first run after an update or installing. Did you load the correct one? And then, when I try to send an error report to Apple, the error report always fails. I have to use Force Quit to shut it down. I get a small box that pops up with the Vuescan information on it, but then the whole thing freezes up. My latest of MANY problems with this software is this: Vuescan will NOT open at all after I upgraded to version 9.0.79 on my Macbook running OSX. I am seriously regretting my decision to purchase Vuescan.
